Coming from a family in Poland known for their dedication to craftsmanship, I carried the lessons of hard work and pride in every project I touched. My father and uncle were my first teachers, showing me what it means to build something that lasts.
When I started SmardBuild Construction, it wasn’t just about applying those lessons — it was about creating a company where homeowners could trust that their home was in the best hands. From the beginning, I knew that success doesn’t come from just one person’s effort. Without the incredible team that I’ve been fortunate enough to build around me, SmardBuild wouldn’t be what it is today. Together, we’ve built a company grounded in the principles of quality, dedication, and true craftsmanship.

By 2006, SmardBuild had begun to take shape. Our approach was simple: listen to our clients, understand their vision, and deliver work that exceeds their expectations. We weren’t the biggest company around, but we didn’t need to be. Our strength was in customizing every project to fit the specific needs of each homeowner. Marek Smarduch, SmardBuild founder and chief problem solver, has over 20 years of experience in the building trades. In 2006, he launched the company with the goal to treat customers with respect and bring passion, experience, and craftsmanship to every project.
Wojciech
A Master Carpenter with 15 years of experience, Wojciech (Wojtek) is a dedicated husband, father, and skilled woodworker. All of our custom cabinets are built by Wojtek, who will personally speak with you about your kitchen or cabinetry needs. Outside of work, he loves fishing!
Rachel
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Rachel will assist you in selecting the finishing touches for your home, including flooring, tile, and cabinetry. She is passionate about traveling and enjoys visiting family across the country, from Texas to New York!
Lauren
As a designer, Lauren creates designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical, taking into account factors such as storage solutions, space utilization, material durability, and overall flow. She is passionate about working with families to transform their houses into functional, inviting homes that reflect their unique lifestyles.
Pawel
A licensed architect with a strong passion and vision, Pawel will work with you on any home addition or design needs to bring your vision to life. From kitchens or bathrooms, to whole home remodels, Pawel can bring your dreams to life.
Chris
Chris, our project manager with over 30 years of experience, coordinates all our crews and material orders, ensuring all our customers' needs are met, from exterior renovations to interior projects.
Ewa
Our office manager, Ewa, takes care of all our paperwork and elevates our office operations to the next level. As a mother and wife, she also coordinates permits to keep everything running smoothly.
Andy
With 25 years of experience, Andy is our crew leader who specializes in fiber cement siding installation and all exterior remodeling needs. He uses his craftsmanship skills and experience to build your vision.
Martin
Martin is our experienced videographer who creates a great portfolio of before and after pictures for our customer records. He also manages our social media content and produces high-quality videos.
Lori
Lori works with us helping you to finance your home improvement project. As a homeowner, Lori can sympathize with the stress of purchasing a home. As a Mortgage Advisor, she knows the process inside and out. With her prior experience as a Counselor, she knows how to listen to the needs of others and help individuals who are feeling overwhelmed.
